You'll need to get your hair trimmed in order to get rid of the split ends. For the other bit, just use your normal shampoo/conditioner routine at the beginning of your shower or bath. When you get to the conditioner part, leave it in while you do the rest of your cleaning (shaving, body was, etc) and after about 3-5 minutes rinse the shampoo. This has the same effect as professional, deep-cleansing conditioners, for a lot less money. After you do this a few times, your hair should start feeling softer.

Just try leaving a hair mask on over night with a shower cap over it. I sometimes do this to keep my hair soft and moisturised. Do it about once a week. You could also try eggs and honey left on yuor hair for an hour.

There are plenty of hot oil treatments for home use and they're not that expensive. Better use a conditioner for your hair type after every shampoo.
