How long do I have to wait until I can put a relaxer in my hair after braids?

For 3 yearz I would get my hair braided and i havent had a relaxer since my freshman year. For my senior year I want to get a relaxer and wrap but when should I take my braids out and how long should I let my hair breath for before i get one?

If school starts soon like in a week..... Take your braids down now and let her breath for about 5 days because your scalp is gonna need air then on the fifth day or the weekend before school start put a relaxer on your head

If you HAVE to get your hair relaxed, have the beautician take a look at the state of your hair. She'll likely have a great idea of your hair's shape.

I would, however, recommend that you get your hair pressed and not relax it at all. Relaxing it will only kill the great strong hair that you've been growing all these years. You'd be surprised at how great and thick and shiny it will look after a press.

The hairdressers usually say give it about six weeks, before relaxing your hair.

All you have to do is....wash it. But when you go to get your hair relaxed dont wash it the day before. dont even brush it., because the relaxer can irritate if you do. but as far as waiting you really don't have to.

my mothers a hair stylist and she told me to tell you to get one as soon as u take down ur braids. but dont scratch. it will burn like hell. also before u take down ur braids grease ur scalp

when you take out your braids wait atleast 3 day don't itch it or it will get under your skin and burn!
