I answer the questions because I am opinionated, and this gives me an outlet for my opinion, why do you?

If it is just for the points, what does that give you?

Thank you everyone for the answers. I'm really happy to see that all the answers were well thought out and honest, no smart alec answers thus far. I'm going to have a hard time choosing a best answer but so far it is the first one although the others were great.

To the girl who said her parents and husband don't value her opinions, I'm sorry to hear that and yes this is the place to say your piece.

I enjoy intelligent answers even if they aren't the same as mine but I get very irritated with those that say yes or no and those who don't use proper grammar or spelling. There is a spell check for goodness sakes.

Excuse me Tampamar, I did not say I was a know it all, I said I am opinionated but I also admit that sometimes I may be wrong. I give my opnions but I like to know other's as well and there are many thing I do not know yet but I'm open to learn.

Nellie i answer for the same reason as you, at least we are honest.!!! -I Like to voice my opinion,whats wrong with that, it shows that we are strong minded individuals and not sheep that just follow mindlessly going no-where, we have drive and direction.

Not for the points. Probably because I have children who think I know nothing. A boyfriend who thinks he knows it all and my opinion doesn't matter. Parents who think because I'm I am one of their children (age 33) I still don't know how to correctly do anything. At least somewhere, sometime, somebody actually gets something from what I have to say. Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, I suppose. I assume some people don't like what I have to say at times but you can say it anyway here. Maybe there might just be somebody who appreciates what I have to say. A lot of this is personal opinion, I have them, and can voice them here.

The points mean nothing. What are you going to do with them? I find it fun and something to do to kill some time and maybe help someone out once in a while. And I,m recovering from knee surgery right now so this about as physical as I will be getting for the next month or so LOL.

I actually find some of the questions fascinating and I don't need total agreement with my answers. It's good to see the cross section of opinions in the world. It's also sometimes scary to see how uninformed some people are .

But hey it's something fun to do .

I agree with you--I am opinionated, and I enjoy answering questions. I'm not an expert on any one subject, but I have a lot of knowledge to offer, and hope that someone, somewhere down the line may be able to benefit from my advice.

i love to communicate with people. this is one of the ways of communication. i go through all the answers before i answer . if my view has already been told by somebody else then i will not answer the question. i have learnt quite a bit by this yahoo answers & it is fun reading others answers , jokes , riddles, etc. & of course we come across some really intelligent & thought provoking questions & answers. i usually spend 30 min. per day here. i wish i had more time to spend here.

I like to share what I know for sure with others, the thing is that sometimes others don´t want to listen to anything except their own stupidity. keep on going, I agree with the guy that said here that we are strong minded and not only pathless sheeps. Keep your knowledge and self confidence up!!

I spent years learning about all kinds of things, Insurance mostly; and it's nice to know that someone actually values that knowledge.

Also, it gives me something to do on a Sunday afternoon.
