Dried fruits, nuts, and jerky. Plus, they are lightweight which makes them an even better choice. Have a good trip!

Dry salted peanuts. Boxes of raisins.
(Eat raisins and peanuts together for instant trail mix.)

Whole wheat grains soaking in water (start the soak 2 days before eating, so they sprout).

If you have a camp stove (like my Coleman Peak 1 Apex), you can cook on your trip, and in that case you can carry dry beans and dry rice and make soup.

To reduce the amount of fuel you need to cook the beans, try the Thermos Bottle trick. After you boil your water, put the dry beans in the thermos and then pour the hot water in after. Cap the thermos and leave it overnight. The beans should be done by morning. Then you cook the rice in the pot on the stove and mix the beans in.

The best is fresh fruits and vegetables. You can bring salad dressing to have variation in case you want to make salad out of fruits and vegies combined. Granula too, for sure it lasts...
