God has allowed us all "Free Will" and the choices we make either good or bad are our consequences. Unfortunately, the poor choices of many do affect innocent but God can bring good out of any bad situation and often does. God will allow us to exercise our free will and not interfere.

If I am understanding your question correctly, your are asking: "Why does God allow evil to THRIVE over good?"

Well, evil preys on good--thrives by destroying good. If there weren't any good, what would be the point of being evil? How would evil survive? It would feed on itself and eventually self-destruct.

If your are asking: "Why does God allow evil to TRIUMPH over good?"

This is not true. Evil has already been defeated by the Ultimate Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, which is why the devil hates the Sign of the Cross. It reminds him of his defeat, and he will take as many down with him as he can so that he can 'rule' in hell, rather than serve in Heaven.

What we see around us today, the loss of faith, the drugs, the addictions, the wars, the porn, the hopelessness, the hatred, the biases, the prejudices is a test to sort the wheat from the chaff, the sheep from the goats. Are you with God, or are you against Him?

All we can do is Believe, persevere and keep the Faith.

Have courage and stand firm, with God all things are possible. Even a better world.

Firstly , good / evil , it's all point of view . An all knowing " God " would have no opinion on the whole thing .
Secondly , It should be bluntly obvious , like as in all things of nature , balance MUST be maintained , or everything falls apart .
Don't worry , " evil " won't thrive for too terribly long .

It all depends on how you define thrive. God allows trials and sufferings to occur in the believers life to help them to grow and mature as christians. He promises to not leave their side and strengthens them in their journey and then promises much reward for the faithful. Evil people are at times allowed to play a role in these trials, they think their evil is powerful because of the role they played, in the end they'll see they were nothing more than a tool being used of God and their supposed power is nothing more than an illusion.

A better question is why do humans allow bad things to happen over good. Life would be easier if everyone was good, yet there is so much evil in the world. Even driving in traffic we encounter people being jerks for no reason.

The best we can do is to try and not be evil ourselves. The more we fix ourselves the more we fix the world.

God did not allow it. He show the way to goodness. Your mind did not recognise the good teaching and you committed the evil. The collective evil actions of societies allow evil to thrive over good.
To avoid all evils and do good is the advice from god. Constantly be mindful of this simple and yet effective advice will triumph over evil.
Take care.

Not to step on your beliefs, but heres something that may enlighten you...

Life is a prizen for the "evil" soles of life. Meaning that the reason everyone is alive is because there evil, Life is a chance to redeem your sole.

Where were you before you were born, You were a "free sole" with no worries, or feelings, stresses, none of that.. You became imprizened to life as a test for the purity of your sole. If you pass lifes tests, you will get to go back to being a "free spirit" If you do not pass i think you become one of those people that says they have lived past lives...

VERY SIMPLE,
Alllah (or God) has put the rules for humans to follow so that there wouldn't be any mistake or crime between people, but most of them does not follow these rules, and when this happen and people find that there's something wrong, they will realize that they must follow these rules.

Suppose that we, people as a whole, didn't suffer from disobeying Allah, then we would say these rules are false and, as a consequence, become atheist, isn't it?

Great question.
Let's ask Him.
I'll ask, and if He answers I'll get back to you.

Because in a relationship.
What is within the person comes out.
Evil is in there.
If it is in there it will come out after a period of time.
A person meets another, for a while everything is OK, then here it is, out you come, the real you.
There is none of us that walks on water.
Only Jesus and Peter did.
Peter only did for a short period of time.
Another failing of the human condition.
No knights on white horses.
No riding off into the sunset.
Look at your parents.
