What softwear do i require, or which softwear. I have a sony HDR-HC1, with video footage i would like to send to Thailand, to a friend, i have never done this before, so i am a bit green on the subject, i need help

you can do it on Yahoo, MSN and most other IMing programmes, for instance, on Yahoo click "action", "send file", then browse to where your file is stored on your hard drive

Not emails, but MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and SKYPE will all allow you to send large files
