yahoo no longer has free spyware removal option in browser..only free scan. Looking for a trial program that will actually REMOVE infections spyware/adware

Ad-aware - from Lavasoft - it looks through files.
SpyBot - SpyBot Search & Destroy is great, it looks through your registry

AdAware is better than Spybot and it's free also.
I don't even use spybot anymore because the others find more.
Try these online ones also...I use them all some find things others don't.
Make sure you install the activex at they top of your browser for the online ones.

Both work great and will get your infections out try both of them spybot is good it features a immunizer that protects the pc from spyware being installed in the first place Enjoy these programs.

If you have legitimate Windows XP with SP2 you can download Windows Defender. It is free and very efficient. If you don't have service packs don't bother searching for antispy ware as your machine is a sitting duck.
