In other words...is channeling legitimate or a dangerous game?

I wouldn't seek it out. It can be dangerous, because even those who do it will tell you that you don't know what spirits you may end up inviting in.

My family has had contact from beyond, though, by telephone. My sister got a call from my father, who told her "everything's okay", and we recently got a call from a friend of my mother's. There was no one on the line, but the call display showed her name and number, even though her phone had been disconnected shortly after her passing.

In other words, don't call them, they'll call you.

i am a medium and do communicate with the spirits of those who have passed on
this isn't demons or anything else that has been suggested to me
these are wonderful loving spirit who only want to bring comfort to their family and friends
these spirit communications are validated with details/descriptions only known to the the family member and often even they have to ask another family member about some of it to verify it
in all my years doing it , i have experienced nothing but love
i cant see how in any way it is dangerous

p.s we don't channel or call spirit .. spirit has free will and will only come through if " they " wish to

Yes, you can contact them! Sometimes even when you don't feel their presence or see their spirit doesn't mean that they aren't there. Just look a little closer at things and call them onto you, but do NOT use on of those board things those ARE dangerous.Thank you and your loved ones want to let you know that they love you and are around you thanx.

No. I do not believe it is possible.
People sometimes claim to communicate with the dead, but I honestly believe that they are actually demons posing as the person that is supposedly being contacted... for no purpose other than to cause confusion.

1-800- call ATT

or mail.com or if they are here on this plane, you can use the good old USPS.....they may have a different name with a different family or something, somewhere out in the middle of TOLEDO OHIO or where ever....

Everyone comes back somewhere.....perhaps fairly similar to a previous stand, perhaps "re-formated"

Yes, he is coming through now. It is a man. He is not old, but not young. He knew you or someone you know, and is dead. He is not tall, but not short. He is saying hi, not yelling, but not a whisper. He says you don't have everything you want, but it will be ok.

This will apply to most people, or I can change over if I am wrong. To answer, I don't think so.

Ecc 9:5 The dead no nothing. You CAN NOT contact them. You can however contact devils who will impersonate whom ever you would like. But that will get you destroyed by God.

I believe loved ones contact you when they're gone. Don't try and contact them yourself. They will come to you when they're ready. My great grandmother visited me right after she died. I was asleep she called my name, I woke up and saw her standing by her saints. She just smiled at me and disappeared. But don't play games or try to contact them yourself. You might never see them if you do.

No they cannot. Channeling is forbidden by God in Scripture - any supposed "communication with the dead", were it to be real (i.e. not a hoax) I believe would be communication with a demon.

Have you ever seen THE EXORCIST my friend? I DO NOT recommend ever giving into the temptation and I believe that God will reward you in the end on judgement day.
