It's common to lose 100s of strands of hair per day... Most people don't know this. In the shower, you work your hair around to thoroughly clean it, and so strands that fall out at that time more, so it's more noticeable.

It's normal to lose 60-80 strands of hair per day. As with most things, there is a life cycle to hair and those that come out in the shower have reached the end of theirs. The reason why the shower is the most common place to lose them is the running of your hands through your hair when you shampoo and/or condition it....same the same happens with brushing.

They don't only fall out while you are in the shower. They fall out all day. It just is more noticeable when you are in the shower, because you are rinsing the hairs that have fallen from the root out of the rest of your hair that is still attached to your head.

We lose 80 to 100 hairs per day, that is totally normal. You may see them more in a shower if you are washing out sprays and products that have been holding them in, or you are just loosening the ones that have shed.

Not only do hairs fall out, new hair is growing. There is nothing to worry about. It's the same as your skin. You lose layers of skin constantly. Your hair maintains healthiness by this process.

Your hair is most vulnerble when its wet. That means it has none of the natural defenses of dry hair. To prevent it from falling out, wait to comb your hair till its dry and be extra gentle with it.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. This stuff is bad news.
I stopped using shampoos with this stuff in it as I was losing hair & it was thinning badly, my parts were getting wider. Try organic shampoo, free of chemicals & pesticides, I know your hair will stop falling out.

Please read this information & pass it on to everyone you know!
