Of course they can't. they have to destroy the other persons character as a way of not dealing with the issue. What a bunch of idiots!

Its kinda wrong to group all Republicans together (although my wife would disagree). Many republicans that don't get the spot light, do talk about real issues like the economy, immigration, health care, the war...etc....they just tend to have different opinions than Bush, and the Republican leadership.
The stance of the republican party on:
War...is that we're in it, therefor we need to finish it.
Economy...tax cuts benefit the economy through the trickle down effect
Civil Rights...most actually agree with democrats on this issue, its just not as far up on their agenda as it is with the Dems.
Immigration...They funded the fence and moved national gaurd troops to secure the border.
You might not agree with their solutions on the issues, but they do talk about them.
By the way, I'm registered as an independent, and I teach high school American Government.

it really is a concept it really is thoroughly alien to conservatives, yet liberals have continuously tried to us it to make progression. this is stated as "compromise". It begins with the popularity that no unmarried ideology has all the solutions, and culminates in both facet giving up a touch floor and then assembly contained in the middle. yet, it in ordinary words works even as liberals are in power, because conservatives in no way supply an inch even as they're conserving the gavel. We observed it artwork some situations in the course of the '90s, even with the undeniable fact that this is been truly lacking from the political section in view that 1981, so that you'll not be previous sufficient to have ever considered it in action. And Obama would not bash conservatives, and in no way stated they were bitter over guns and faith. He stated that many human beings are growing bitter over their authorities not serving them, and so have made their guns and their religious beliefs their well-known political topics really of nerve-racking about what's brilliant for the country, in view that actual topics in no way look to get everywhere in Washington. those who can not see the distinction at the on the spot are not in ordinary words bitter. they're also uninformed. i'd call them "ignorant", except that seems justification for paying for stated through the right-wingers in the following who hate the concept of loose speech.

Of course, but only if the other guy is willing to listen and NOT bash in return. Both sides are guilty of bashing.
It is very difficult to carry on a discussion of the issues if the other guy doesn't really want to listen.
Both sides can be equally guilty.
Now, your question was a BASH!

Watch the news(real news, i.e. Fox News), it is not the Republicans keeping the focus on the administration, but other political parties who have done nothing and resent an administration that does.

Republicans have talked about all those issues. Now if the Democrats would only find a reply other than 'don't question my patriotism' we could have a discussion.

Try asking a specific question, with no more preconceptions than those too strong for you. You will get answers from Republicans and from "Republicans". Give it a try.

Democrats can't hear us when we talk about serious issues because they have their head in one of the orifices of either the UN or the EU..or busy giving aid and comfort to the enemy....

It is not in the best interests of the Great Leader to answer the niggling questions of the hoipaloi. Great One has far more important things to do. Legerdemain for instance. "Oh, Look, It isn't that, it's something else!" "It isn't here, it's elsewhere". "But, Mommy, it wasn't me that said..." You must see it isn't Great Leaders fault. We are: a. just too uneducated to understand anyway b. would worry about our sad inability to choose for ourselves c. Should get on with daily life, and scrabble for our paycheck. d.....e....f.....r....q....xyz....and so on ad nauseum. Besides, you answered your own question!!!

I hope you heard Cheney's comments this week about Lamont's primary victory in Connecticut (an al-Qaida victory). What a tool!

I've often had the same question about Democrats. When ever I want to talk about a current issue with a Democrat, it seems all they want to talk about is how much they hate Bush.
