It depends. If you are Catholic, you missed Proverbs 9:1-6 as the first reading, Ephesians 5:15-20 as the second, Psalms 34:2-3, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and John 6:51-58 of the Gospels.

If you are Episcopal, you missed Proverbs 9:1-6 as the first reading, Ephesians 5:15-20 as the second, Psalms 147 or 34:9-14, and John 6:53-59 of the Gospels.

If a different denomination, you missed 1 Kings 2:10-12; 3:3-14 as the first reading, Ephesians 5:15-20, Psalm 111, and John 6:51-58 of the Gospels.

Betcha didn't know that there was an actual and true answer, did ya? Ah, how little those who mock Christianity understand.

Depends on how you look at it. Did you miss friends or loved ones that were there? Or did you miss the same old "seen ya at the bar last night we gotta put in a appearance so the other half wont be mad at me for staying out late and getting drunk" ? ( they seem to think we need to repent for our sins) or did you truely miss the word of god? My mother missed many of my fathers church sermons (due to illness) She said if I got a bible and I can pick it up and read some passages that are faithfully up lifting then I havent missed much for I still have the word of god. A building, people dressed up in their Sunday best dont give me my faith is jesus christ the bible does. So hope that helps you forgive yourself for being a sleepyhead =)

The background noise from the church you intended to go to. But other than that you would have slept through it anyway. So don't feel bad.

I don't believe that you missed anything.
If you were supposed to get something, you don't have to be in a specific place to get it.
If you are supposed to get something you get it right where you are at.
I go to night service to teach them, not to learn anything.
I have been taught, I now teach them.
Sometimes the pastor doesn't like it.
Too bad I say.
