No child should EVER be allowed to have a child. Adequate care should only mean safe termination of the pregnancy until you are old enough to make a rational adult decision about bringing a life to term.

Not really able to quantify this as a percentage.

Too few.

The trouble is we don't have numbers for the portion of pregnant adolescents NOT receiving adequate care.

I dont know what the exact percentage is to be honest...I dont think there is any statistics that can point you in the right direction due to the varying situations.

I am 18, about to turn 19, and 5 months pregnant. I go to all my prenatal appointments, purchase DHA supplements, look up and ask questions concerning my child on the internet and to my gynecologist...and on top of that, I do it on my own, in a horrible situation the father of the child left me in. I believe that everyone makes their own decisions....no matter what age they are. A thirty year old woman can be pregnant and still not get the care she needs...it doesnt matter about age...its all about discipline.

I've heard this statistic before, but I can't remember exactly.
The big difference is actually in white teens compared to black teens...the black teens are WAY too low, hardly any get the care they should.
