you can do almost any non-contact (kickboxing etc) excersizes while pregnant so long as your confortable. Yoga is really good as are pilaties...not to stressful and keep the muscles toned, also great for breathing excersizes

You shouldn't start any new exercises when you are pregnant. If you weren't swimming laps prior to your pregnancy, do not start now. It is okay to walk, or something else you do anyway, but don't take chances with the muscles, tendons and ligaments that will support your belly. Or even the back. You need both of these areas to be uninjured as your abdomen enlarges due to the baby's growth.

Yes my doctor suggested it because being in the water helps you stay balanced (mainly when you get farther along). He said that is the best exercise when pregnant. I was swimming whenever I could when I was pregnant. When I was farther along it seemed to be actually taking some of the pressure off of my back. It was very refreshing.

Swimming laps should be fine but it is always best to check with your doctor before starting any exercise programs.

Yup I am 19 weeks pregnant and I have no desire to have sex, I have had sex maybe 3x since I got pregnant... It was actually pretty uncomfortable for me. Then I read that in ur second trimester the sex drive comes back mine didn't. Anyways every woman is different and your sex drive may come back... But either way your normal sweetie !

Swimming is very healthy while pregnant. Its excellent cardio. The only exercises that you want to limit is heavy lifting and you don't want to overdo the abdominal ones. I did yoga during my pregnancy. The stretching and muscle toning made me feel great. If you have other concerns you would want to consult your doctor.

I agree with anyone who answers speak to your OB/GYN.Just because a few people have had positive experiences doesn't mean that there's a reason why you shouldn't.Have you ever seen some of the answers in this forum? You're going to trust you baby's life to these people?Something to think about.

I have always heard that anything you were doing before you can continue after your pregnant. This means that it probably isn't wise to start something totally new.
