i am just wondering... when do we actually use our triceps? when we arm-wrestle, we use our biceps, so in what kind of activities do we use our tricep muscles? please dont tell me the various kinds or exercises. i just want to know what kind of daily work we do.

Your triceps extend your arm. Your biceps flex or bend your arm. So if you ddin't have triceps you wouldn't be able to function normally. Put it this way, you use it everyday and in almost everyactivity that you do. For example, imagine how hard it would to wipe your butt after taking a dump if you could only wipe in one direction cuz only your biceps worked. That would be some crazy s*#$t!!!

Picking something off of a high shelf or anything above your shoulders we use them a lot. Pulling and pushing things we also use our triceps a ton

whenever you have to pick up or lift something heavy behind the spine, we mostly use the triceps.... its like the back bicep.

I can't think of anything specifically, but I know I use mine a lot, I feel it all the time - more than I use my biceps, I would say.

Any physical activity that involves movement of the elbow.

opening and closing doors, opening jars or sodas, driving, pulling things like mowers or wagons, opening drawers
