I'm getting a lot of flak for my nutritional and tasty breakfasts from concerned relatives, how far wrong can I be? It's all food isn't it? Sisters, always something.

It's been quite a while since my "Dr. Pepper and Potato Chips for Breakfast" days (and I preferred Coke, not Dr. Pepper). But nutritional concerns aside, eating a "questionable" breakfast (like yours) is still better than eating NO breakfast.

I wouldn't recommend eating like that every day, either. And it couldn't hurt to make your later meals (lunch and dinner) a little more nutritionally sound, just to make sure you've got a balanced diet.

BTW guess what I had for breakfast this morning?

Pizza, left over from yesterday. Straight from the fridge. Yum!

When we are young we can eat virtually anything with no problem. We have youth and a not yet polluted system on our side. It is not until we are older that we really notice if we eat the wrong foods.

The reason to warn the young about this, is because when you get older and you "start" to be uncomfortable from the things you eat, you likely have already developed bad eating habits that has by now polluted your system. Nothing in excess, the wise man says - and when you are talking about sugars, salt and trans fats that goes double.

The American diet is already at a disadvantage because most of the "food" we eat is not nourishing, due to shipping, chemicals and processing. I mean, when you pick fruit off the vine - how many days do you think it is good for? Most of the "fresh food" we eat has been treated with pesticides and has gone past it peak nutrition in transportation to your local store from across the country.

It is very hard (and expensive) to really eat nourishing foods all the times - but it is a tragedy to compound the situation by eating excesses of bad food. Most of us will be old one day. Eating right and being flexible can help keep you comfortable through most of it - crappy eating will not.

Peace!

Potato chips and Dr. Peppet are not breakfast food. These are more considered snack food's between lunch and dinner or after dinner snack's. These do not have any nutritional value in them. That is why they are not considered a breakfast food. And why they are not in the breakfast Isle.

This is a nutritionally bankrupt breakfast, meaning nothing good is entering your system to help your body function. No vitamins, minerals, nor enzymes for your body, which is what "food" breaks down into. Breakfast jumpstarts the brain, and functions of the body. Too much junk food even affects your libido, (sex drive).

If you insist on this breakfast, eat more nutritional food later in the day.

My nephew was just telling me yesterday that pancakes for supper was wrong because it is a breakfast food. So I asked him if he had ever eaten pizza for breakfast and his answer was yes. I asked him what the difference was. Of course he had no answer. I think any meal is acceptable as long as you eat some thing. But I do think maybe you should eat a little better some thing than junk food all the time for breakfast.

I do not see what the big deal is, I mean it is healthy for you.
Potatoes, salt, vegtable oil. Dr pepper is like fruit juice, 23 total flavors that include prune juice. And lets not forget the staple of caffine. I mean who does not get some of that in the morning.

Not the most healthy breakfast but certainly sounds yummy. If you are a young guy, I think its all right for you to have that once in awhile. And, I hate to say it, but lighten up on sis, she just cares about you. Trust me, she will leave you alone eventually.

Not the best breakfast, but it's better than the crap I had. Sometimes all I have to eat is a candy or something.
