It's very easy but can get overwhelming as they definately vocalize when they need something. At 2 weeks old youll have to make him go to the bathroom. Puppies cant do it on theyre own. They need to be stimulated to poo and pee. The mother will lick its parts and does the job, however that is out of the question for you so a warm wet cotton ball or piece of material will work. Just rub each area and he will po or pee. Second you need to feed from a baby bottle. Youll need a nipple that will fit well in his mouth. When you hold the bottle upside down it should just drip out and not pour out. last you'll need something to feed him so here you go.
Use: 1 can of condensed milk
reuse the can and add 1 can of purified water
1 teaspoons of honey
2 egg yolks, the yellow part only
You can also from time to time add 1/4 cup of unflavored whole yougurt. It gets the good bacteria going and helps with the digestion.
Mix well and heat to body tempiture
\It should be a little warmer then your own skin
Dogs body temp is about 99-100 degrees. Use this shedule. Here is the hard part and where you decide if its worth it or not. Ive done it I know you can.
Feed every 2-3 hours, 24 hours a day and night
After each feeding make him poo and pee and put him to bed. You can put a stuffed animal or something to hold him in place as they can roll around alot keep him warm and he should sleep well. Make sure you have him in something with sides or he can crwl out and really hurt himself. Trust me after a couple of days like this you'll be dead on your feet. You may not hear him if he falls. Reasons a puppy whines and crys constantly.... He is hungry, he has to use the bathroom, he is cold. Thats it. If he begins to cry try redoing one of the above steps till hes comfortable. Small puppies normally have runny poop so dont worry about that. after about 2 more weeks you can begin to offer him in a bowl and introduce harder real foods. you can ween him by 5 weeks old. Good Luck.
OMG DONT feed him canned food, dog food mushed or in any form and DONT feed him Whole cows milk. His digestive system cant absorb the nutrients in these food yet. And Cows milk will strip his intestinal trak. He wont be able to absorb anything with it. It will give him bad diarreah and you run the risk of severe dehydration. If anything you can give him fresh goats milk. If your in a village then you might have access to a goat. It would make it mush easier, milk goat , pour and feed.

If he is 2 weeks old he still needs to be bottle fed. Go to the local pet store and get some mothers milk supplement or something like that. At 2 weeks he should be fed as often as he is hungry, let him eat his fill at each feeding. Keep him warm, and dry, or cool and dry, depending on where you live.
At about 3-4 weeks you can take some puppy chow and soak it in water until it is mush, then put it in a blender, or use a stick blender to get all of the big chunks out of it, then set it in front of the pup and see if he will start to lap it up. You could try putting a little bit on his nose, just don't drown the poor thing. lol If he doesn't he isn't ready, so wait a few days and try again. He will start to lap between 3-4 weeks, but he will still need the mothers milk supplement until he is about 7 weeks old.
You should find a vet and take him in and see if he needs to be wormed, and his first shots.
Good luck.

First off. Let me tell you that you are such a special person for caring so much about a little, baby puppy! Honey? Just follow your instincts. I will tell you this though, you may need to bottle feed the little lovey, especially if Mommy was ran over. I had to bottle feed a little kitten about the same age and I don't remember where (maybe the pet store) I got the little, itty bitty bottles from but uhm, I think I just gave him watered down milk? Sweetie? A small village? Uhm...Gosh, it has been so long, I'm not sure anymore. Your instincts will kick in and just cruise the web and maybe you will be able to find the answers you are looking for. I'm sorry I couldn't help you out. Big kudos to you for caring about a helpless little animal. You rock! ((((Sheri))))

If he is only 2 weeks old he is going to need feed by a bottle or dropper every 2 hours or he will die. He is not old enough to eat dry food. If there is no canned milk in your village for animals then I would try diluted milk as a starter half water and half milk. Try to warm the milk up first. You don't say what kind of dog so I do not know how much you should try to give him.

YOU DEFFINATLY NEED VET CARE FOR THE PUP CAUSE I THINK IT IS STILL IN NURSEING STAGE!
Later on:
You'll need to feed him canned food. Pour some bottled water in a bowl too. You'll need to do this twice a-day.
Also, you'll to take him outside to do his buissness once every 4hrs. Sadly that includs night. You will also want to take him for a walk in a nice crowded area so you can socialize him.
You'll deffinatly have to find a vet SOMEWHERE cause he'll need all of his shots and heart worm treatment. Vets also have specialized toys for pups too.
When he is about 3 months old, start mixing in solid food with the canned(soft) food.
You will need these supplies:
2 bowls
a leash
a collar
chew toys(they go through a chewing stage)
a dog bed
a kennel/crate
a good sized backyard(perferabley fenced in)
something to block the puppy from cords and wires
a dog house if you are thinking of housing outside

It's very dangerous to try to care for such a young puppy. You seriously need to find a vet of any sort, because puppies need the nutritional value of their mother's milk despertately at this age! On the most normal basis, puppies are taken from their mothers at *six to eight weeks*! This puppy is in urgent need of some professional help -- if you want to give this puppy a chance, you need to go out of town and find a real vet. Good luck!

Since you have Internet access you should be able to find some info on the Internet on what to do. Or maybe your book store has a good book on what to do. Or call a family member or friend in a bigger city and have them call a vet to find out what to do.
I think it's wonderful you are trying to take care of the puppy. I wish you well. Dogs are wonderful pets and their love is so unconditional.

there is a substitute milk you can use and can feed via a bottle until the pup is a fews weeks older and then you can teach it to lap up with a sm saucer, the milks are called lactol or welpi im unsure if ive spelt them correctly tho.it will be every few hrs at the mo tho and the pup will need worming v soon and your also have to help it will toileting by wiping its bottom with a tissue to stimulate movement as mum normanly licks pup tp do this ,good luck, weve had 15 pups in all but with mum and that was hard work supporting her and tireing but very rewarding now to see them alll happy healthly and grown with there own familys now!dont allow pup on floor outside incase it picks up anything from wild animals which can kill him,he needs his vac's first between 8/10 wks b4 you take him out for exercise, also at around 6wks you can try introducing him to puppy food and use your fingers for him to lick off of then encourage him to a bowl eventually, alsouse can use a hot water bottle wiv warm water in it not hot, wrap in in a blanket then put wiv pup to keep him warm, dont over heat him tho!

uh yeah, a small village where? Is it a cult? If not then there is probably a vet in your neighboring town, unless that is too out of your way, if you can't care for the dog don't keep it. Bring it to the humane society

you need some kind of formula, and a wind up clock wrapped in a towel, (this will simulate the mother dog's heart beat.) and you need to feed that pup every few hours, if he's only 2 weeks old his eyes aren't open yet!
try this site for more info...
