I have one...a bad one...i have to take Protonix daily for it.
It burns and hurts like a heart attack...it can make your stomach hurt...middle of your chest hurt....your shoulder hurt....its a miserable experience when its inflammed.
If its a bleeding ulcer...you will have a metallic taste in your mouth..definitly call your doc due to bleeding ulcers can lead to death if untreated!!

funny answer - an ulcer cant feel.
serious answer - depends on where it is.
* An esophageal, stomach or duodenal ulcer will usually give the person heartburn, gastritis or upper abdominal pain.
* An ulcer on the skin: right on top or center of the ulcer will most likely be insensitive, while right around it, it would be more sensitive. It would be a deep sort of pain.
* generally, thinner the skin in the area, more the pain.
* A syphilitic ulcer (usually over the genitals) is painless, unlike other uclers... which are painful.

It depends where. Stomach ulcer, pain pain pain.
Bed sores are ulcers also. You should specify.

Typically there is a burning sensation in the pit of the stomach occuring after a spicy meal or during the night or on an empty stomach. It is usually relieved by mild or antacids. Some present first as a bleed of perforation without symptoms.

you need to see a dr. There are several medications that can help, many over the counter. You will need to go on a bland diet for 6 or so weeks. There is a good chance you will need to go on antibiotics. They have discovered that both the antibiotics and the acid reducer meds work best for many people.

I really bad sore thats infected on the outside of your skin, but only on the inside, it hurts really bad, and at times you may see blood in your urine, feces or saliva
