Has anyone been to jail (Im a 20 year old girl)? I was wondering what its REALLY like just in case my PO sends me for the 45 days...

And now for an intelligent answer to your question...jail is to be avoided at all costs, I have been to jail for a very short period of time and I can now say that it is not worth it! Become a law abiding citizen. I would rather turn the other cheek than spend another second behind bars. It was the most humiliating experience of my entire life. Some people are just so stupid that in their mind the risk is worth the reward, but let me tell you, crime does not pay. Period, end of story. Don't drink and drive!

You don't want to go to a woman's facility, where many very crazy people will taunt you, torment you, every minute!
And, that is just the CO's, with their Dominatrix rules!
The 'interns' will make "Forty five days" seem like a lifetime of nightmares!
Just getting into this situation where there is a risk that you might, means you are very self-abusive... Sorry for you, and, hope you get it together!
But, you probably won't be behind a check-out counter at the local food mart!
I'll probably never encounter you in my circles of trusted, bonded, professionals. I think you've "screwed the pooch", on any job promotion in your future.

Used to work in a jail and a few prisons, (Corrections Lieutenant), jail is worse than prison, far less privileges in jail. 45 days isn't too bad, I've seen people sent there for entire sentences. Must've pissed off the judge.

I have been, the first 48 hours is the worst. Learn some grappling style fighting techniques to get through the next 43 days.

yea i've been and do you have to go to county or DOC cause i did 5 months in county its not that bad once you get used to it but in prison you have way more privileges. either way 45 days will pass faster than you would think, just dont go in with an attitude and stand up for yourself when you have to and it wont be that bad.

it sucks but it is not as bad as the movies just make sure you have money on your books because the food is nasty but most jails have comasary i lived on it for 2 weeks

i was in a holding cell ones, & that was wack. ..it sucks.. .havent u seen all those prison movies ? try to avoid it.
