There's no such a thing as toning. It's a myth. Your body can only be in either a catabolic state (losing tissue) or anabolic state (synthesizing tissue). What people refer as "toning" is actually simply lowering your body fat percentage so your muscles are visible more. In other words, it's a fat loss program, which implies losing weight. If fat covers up your muscles, they won't be clearly visible no matter how fit they are.

I tend to lose weight no matter what my exercises are. Up your protein intake and cut back on carbs. I would definately try pilates. It's a great way to tone up those flabby muscles!!

Hi
Try this simple plan it worked for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

Stretching exercises are good for toning. However to keep your heart healthy, you do need some aerobics. Eat healthy high calorie snacks, a hand-full of nuts, for example, if you are prone to losing weight.

Lifting weights (five pounds or more) will help you increase your body mass, you will loose fat but it will be replaced with muscle.
Also, doing specific toning excersices; they are a lot of videos that show you how.
