My 8 weeks old puppy started throwing up, had diarrhea and wouldnt eat or drink yesterday. i took him to the vet and the vet said he has a fever and gave him 2 shots. i have no idea what it was. My puppy had a nap after that and was eating and up running around again. But today he isnt eating again plus he has diarrhea and is vomiting. he seems soooo lifeless right now. It all seems like the symptoms of parvo. All the vets around here are closed now. Do you think he will make it till tomorrow morning? Im very worried. I think the vet should have given him a check up yesterday. i told her all the symptoms. she just check my puppy's temperature and gave her 2 shots and told me to feed him some soft puppy food. she didnt mention anything about parvo. Should i see another vet tomorrow? Btw im in China. Do you think the vets here can treat parvo? If not, is there anything i can order online to do myself?

This is so sad. It sounds just like Parvo. Being Sunday your office is closed. I would call for the EMS number. But often it is very hard to save a parvo puppy much less an adult dog. I would strongly suggest getting the puppy hydrated. Canines die quicker because they become dehydrated quickly. Use clear Pedilyte. syringe in mouth if you need to. What your puppy really needs is to be in a IV at a vet getting fluids that way. Best of luck. If your puppy dies you need to know everything you have is infected for up to a year. Even the car you traveled in. So dont buy another puppy for awhile should this one not make it.

Your puppy very badly needs to spend some time in the ICU. Dogs with parvo DO NOT SURVIVE IF LEFT UNTREATED. Also they are EXTREMELY CONTAGIOUS to other dogs, especially puppies. There is always a 24 hour vet clinic that is open for emergencies TAKE YOUR DOG THERE RIGHT AWAY. But call first so they can make the necessary preparations for a parvo puppy. Don't walk him into the clinic, but carry him. This is a serious problem, and I can't believe you are even on here asking about it. NO YOU CANNOT ORDER SOMETHING ONLINE FOR IT. YOUR DOG IS GOING TO DIE IF YOU NEGLECT THE PROBLEM ANY LONGER!!!!!

It does sound like parvo. I would get to another vet immediately. Try to get your puppy to drink something. Vets should be able to treat it, but some don't want to because you have to be very careful about infecting other dogs at the clinic because it is very contagious. Try another vet, some have emergency numbers. good luck

OK just make sure the pet is comfy and relaxed and has plenty of fluids make him drink no matter if he wants to or not but dont put him under too much stress

I don't know about the vets in china, but the vets in America if they are closed and you call them they wiill have an answering service with a number to call in case of an emergency.....so call your vet and see if they have an emergency number and get your puppy there right away. I don't know much about Parvo, but I hope everything goes alright.

Sure does sound like parvo. Get to an agricultural college if there's one nearby. They will probably have a vet who knows something. The prognosis with an established case of parvo isn't good. One of my dogs survived it; others did not.

i've got taken puppies temperatures that have been nicely into the ailment and that they did no longer have a temperature for some reason. i in my opinion do no longer know why. I even have taken care of parvo myself with a 50/50 survival fee. you're ultimate. Catching it early is the substantial to a sturdy analysis. in actuality I do a similar authentic ingredient the vet does. squarefluids under the exterior while it gets to that factor. Antibiotics, antidiarrheal medicine. 25 years in the past we had difficulty with vaccines. yet they are sturdy now so have not had to handle it in my very own canines knock on wood. I even have seen puppies that I swore have been litterally lifeless mendacity on their factors with eyes sunken finding close to loss of life pull via after 2-3 days of medical care. And greater advantageous ones i assumed might make it in basic terms without warning take a turn for the greater serious. you're remarkable. it rather is extremely unpredictable. Your vets a jerk via the way. He could have long gone into component with you or you've positioned your foot down and demanded solutions. some human beings are one in each and every of those holes! you're paying money for his centers! I hate docs like that. I look to get dr's like this. yet thats yet another tale. It rather relies upon on the canines too. wether they have the desire to no longer supply up.

your dog has symptoms of parvo....needs to be seen ASAP to get medication started immediately. You dog needs to also be placed on IV fluids. If it is parvo its very serious and life threatening for ur pup. You cant treat it urself your vet needs to do this. It is also very contagious to other unvaccinated dogs.

you can't treat parvo. there should be an animal hospital that is open 24 hours for sick pets. i know there are ones here in the US. I'm sorry about your puppy. just take care of him and he'll be fine.
