We have a very simple, easy to use door chime that I bought at a Walgreens or Rite-Aid. It is made by First Alert and one part attaches to the door frame and the other to the door. We have one on our sliding back door. It either chimes or rings when the door is opened to let you know that the door has opened. For special bracelets with alarms, check the website for Abilitations. They often carry special equipment such as this for children with disabilities. The second link below will take you to IonKids Bracelets... it includes a tracking device to locate your child ($55.99)

Put up a chain lock or a bolt up high on the door where he can't reach it.

Put a big "STOP" sign on the inside of the doors to remind him that he is NOT to go out without an adult.

Get a little chime, like they have in stores, to put on your doors so that when it is opened it'll make a noise to alert you. Or get a security system and keep it turned on and it will tell you when the door is opened.

Put up a fence around your yard.

You can have an alarm set for your home that alerts you when a door is opened. Ckeck with your local nursing home. I know that some places use something like that when they have residents that wander outside. They may be able to tell you how to get a system.

Dont they have shock collars and invisible fencing for dogs?

LOL..sorry bad joke.

I dont know about bracelets but have you thought of pagers or cell phones?
pager more so than a cell phone. He carries it on him when he goes out and when you need him you ring itup and it starts to beep or vibrate telling him to go home.
