No, they are sharp, brittle and can damage your dog.

I've heard you're not supposed to do that. But my mom used to give my dog T-bones from steaks all the time. The dog loved them and it never caused any harm. The dog was a toy poodle, by the way.

Sure you can, and they'll love it! Just don't give them anything spicy. Take the bone away when it becomes too small or they will choke on it. You just can't give the dogs pork bones or chicken bones, because these break off in small shards. I always bring my dogs home the steak bone, and they love it!

Carnivores in the wild do not "cook" their meat.
Cooked bones are the ones that splinter (otherwise wild cats and dogs would probably be extinct).
So raw meaty bones are good for your dog (appropriate to the dog's size of course). I wouldn't think a beef bone would be good to try on a very small dog.
It would be well-nigh impossible to get a bone out of a T-bone steak before you had cooked it.

you shouldn't really give chicken bones to a dog being that the bones break into small sharp shards and they can tear up a dog's intestines, which might eventually kill the dog by internal bleeding. your better off avoiding bones all together and buying your pet milkebones

It is not a good idea to give dogs bones from cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, lambs, etc., because they could splinter and cause lots of damage on the way out the other end of the dog.
It is not a good idea to give dogs raw hides, because unless they were made in the USA more then likely they were made with anthrax cattle, and could make your dog sick, and also they could get a chunk off big enough that they could swallow and could then expand and cause a blockage. ($2,500.00 surgery to fix this.)
It is not a good idea to give pigs ears, snouts, feet, hooves for the same reasons stated above.
If you want to give your dog something to chew on give them nylabones. It is a good idea to give them something to chew on, other then your shoes, furniture, carpets, under ware, bras, etc. Good luck.

You aren't actually supposed to give any bones....from human food to your dog.....however T-Bones are rather hard.....it all depends on how well your dog chews up his food.....if the dog is a very fast eater then it really isn't safe.......if your dog is a calm eater then you can try.....always keep supervise your dog when feeding anything you have questions about......if your dog starts pawing at its mouth then don't give him any more bones....means he is choking on peices of it....because of not chewing it up enough

Yes. Try finding beef marrow bones at your butcher, they're also called soup bones. Give them to them raw, it's a myth that raw meat & bones are bad for dogs. I 've been feeding mine for years without a problem.
