Well, "A" only works with the first three.
The riddle doesn't say that it has to be the same letter in each but I think there's a trick here, because the word LETTER is in quotation marks.
Hmmm, OK , I'll have to give this more thought.
Ok, it's a kind of letter which will be a word that completes each of the other words.
