Good question. I think we're caught up in medicating normal childhood behaviour. Not everybody is meant to go through life the same way. Yes, if someone is causing harm to others or self there is cause for medication maybe. But just because Johnny runs around the classroom when he's 8 doesn't mean he needs drugs. IMO

With the current state of the drug war the pharmaceutical companies/government can't rightly sell people methamphetamine now can they?

Have a look at the chemical structure of your average ADD/ADHD medication and compare it to street meth. Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is just a slightly more complex amphetamine.

I've even met a 13 year old who has been prescribed Desoxyn for "severe ADHD". Desoxyn being methamphetamine hydrochloride. Tweakers would kill for drugs as pure as this kid has been prescribed.

I grew up in an era that didn't believe kids had ADHD and drugged them up to be little zombies, so I happen to find this hilarious, myself.

Don't be stupid.

They're talking about illegal drugs. Ritalin is not illegal and serves a pupose. A practical purpose. It helps kids with ADD and ADHD.

Please, unless you have a clue what you're talking about, save your ignorant questions. Thanks.
