I would quit smoking for the right person, matter of fact, I wish the right person would come along and talk me into quitting cause I need to.

I was a smoker for 10 years and wanted to cut back on smoking but not completely quit. I loved smoking and then I found out I was pregnant; 2 months pregnant and I didn't know! I felt just awful for smoking. I mean, it's my choice if I smoke but my baby was too young for that! Plus it could hurt her, and I refuse to do that. So I just quit. For me, for her, for money issues. But I still miss it horribly. It was my thing to look forward to. Some people drink soda, I smoked a cigarette. If you're gonna quit, do it for yourself. Otherwise, you'll start right back up the second that person makes you mad or lets you down...I quit for someone who's living inside of me but they can't ask so I just assumed they'd just like to breathe. For life, it's doable yeah, but still freaking hard. Old habits die hard. But quitting for a date? Nah. It'd be for all the wrong reasons. It's terrible: doing the right thing, for the wrong reason and it doesn't last either. Good luck what ever you do.

I'm a girl, but I'm gonna answer this anyway. You should quit smoking for you. You will not be able to do it for her. It's just too hard. I would never ask someone to do that for me. I might not allow them to smoke in my presence, but that is different. If she doesn't love you for who you are then she's not really right for you. When you're ready to quit for yourself that is the time to quit.

I am a non-smoker.

A person just cant up and put something down that's a habit but for the other person they can decide to walk with you and help you or while working on quiting don't smoke around that person.
