it is unhealthy because your body wont get the right amount of energy from just snacks. A better way to loose weight is through diet and exercise so really it is healthier to lose the snacks and eat 3 healthy meals a day. Also, doing sport amnd not eating much could result in low blood sugar levels. Its not a good idea to plan to loose weight in a week, go for a more long term goal. Good luck

you can make it healthy and make it work.
So a week huh?
ok
put down the bagel stock up on raw fruits and veggies and eat something every 1-2 hrs.
Examples:
Apple
Orange
Banana (only a couple per day - before the games for energy)
Celery Stix
Cucumber Sticks
Baby Carrots
Fruit Tray fruit assortment (no dip)
Veggie Tray veggie assortment (no dip)
1% Cottage Cheese (a couple spoons at a time)
Grapefruit juice (1/2 L a day)
Grapefruits
Grapes
Broccoli
Zucchinni
And lots and lots of water
also take a vitamin in the morning make sure it has potassium

I'm sure you already know the answer to that!! It's not the healthy way to go, but you will probably lose weight pretty quick. If you need to lose weight in a hurry for some special event than go ahead with what you're doing. Right after your week is up start trying to eat healthier. Eating like you are for over a week will do nothing but slow your metabolism down and you'll never get your weight off. If you're eating things like bagels, be sure to spread some peanut butter on it. Proteins slow down the digestion of carbs.

I have your answer. If you eat to little you will feel weak, and not play well in your games. Try eating 2 egg whites(not the yolk), or skinless chicken breast and vegetables for lunch, or oatmeal(no sugar), and take a multi-vitamin. Before a game drink some gatorade or fruit juice.
The problem people have is that they dont eat the right foods, if you just eat a bag of potato chips and a soda a day its only about 600 calories but its all sugar and carbohydrates. You would be better off eating healthy foods that fuel your body.

This is VERY unhealthy!! Especially because you are an athlete.
Here is why:
If you eat too few calories your body will begin to store them for normal functioning, such as breathing, digestion, thermogenesis, etc. This slows your metabolism preventing weight loss.
You will lose energy------fast!
Your body will not be getting the nutrients it needs for healthful weight loss and warding off infection. Your immune system will be compromised.
I suggest that you focus on eating nutriously! If you try to stick to whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and fat free dairy products, it will be hard not to maintain a healthy weight. DO NOT go below 1,200 calories a day. Try having several mini meals to keep your metabolism up--aim for around 300-400 calories each meal.

Katie, Katie, Katie. I think you know that what you are planning is unhealthy.
If you want to lose (not loose) some weight, you should know exactly how many calories you're eating in a day. One pound of weight is exactly 3500 calories.
If you cut back 500 calories per day, you can lose a pound per week without any exercise!
If you add enough exercise to your weekly routine, you may not have to cut out anything more than 200 calories per day, that's a lot.

not only is it unhealthy it probably wont help you lose weight. if u starve urself, your body will think theres no food, it will lower your metabolism. which meas when you do eat most of it will be stored as fat instead of being burned. if you want to lose weight, best way to do it is to drink tons of water, dont snack, only eat at breakfast, lucnh and dinner. and change what you eat. like more fruit and veg instead of fast food or whateva. good luck. lu

by not eating you wont loose as much you are starving
eat fruits and vegetables drink allot
try the diet FIT FOR LIFE get the book in library
even you wont go on it it explains very clear how your body reacts to food and tells you how to eat healthy

It would be much better to eat fruits, and vegetables, and maybe a piece of whole wheat toast now and then, and to cut out most sweets, and fats. Drink lots of water too.

That is called anorexia. It is very unhealthy and people die from it. Didn't they teach you this in school? Even if you are still eating a little bit it is still anorexia if you are "starving" yourself to any degree.
