You should talk to your vet and maybe pick up a book about dogs. It isn't rocket science, but with one that young, you need to know a few things. Definitely talk to your vet.

well, if its only 2 weeks old, it could hardly be weined, or taken off mothers milk, in this case, go to a store that has a pet section (i.e. Walmart) and look for Purina Milk supliment, this is used before the puppy is old enough to eat hard food, when he is about 4 weeks old you should start soaking dog kibble in the suppliment and then giving it to him, suppliment and all. slowly start to remove the suppliment to help adjust him/her to the dry food, if you don't want to take the time to do this, buy the LARGE breed's canned food, this will give him all of the nutrients that he will need. If your puppy decides to 'Use' you carpet in any way, put a newspaper over his seemingly favourite spot wait 2 days until he starts to use the newspaper, also, you might want to change it sometime as well, over a course of several days, and about 3 times a day, move the newspaper about 3 feet towards the door, until it is outside or in a place you want it to go. viola, you dog has been fed an hoboken. Now if you want to train him, START NOW. give him his favourite toy or other item and say "Take" only once, when he does: reward him, not a treat though, just a scratch or rub, now, say "Give" and wait for him to drop it, only say it once, and when he drops it, reward him again. viola, take these concepts and a few books and youll be all set for a lifelong friend.

I hope the dog itself isnt two weeks old... if so its far too young to be taken from its mom, since it will most likely die, and cant even open its eyes or eat solids yet.
But i assume you have just had this dog to two weeks.
anyhoo, go down to your local pet store and pick up dogs for dummies, or some other dog basics book. Thats the best way to learn what you need to know.

Yes, two weeks is too young to take a whelp away from it's dam. You'll need to bottle feed if this is the case. Also, there is a chance(no stuff) that this dog will develop separation anxiety and you see undesirable behaviors that will have to be corrected by a trainer.

If the puppy is truly 2 weeks old, it needs to be on puppy milk replacer or esbilac (brand name). And secondly you should call your veterinarian or find one so they can talk you through all the puppy training, vaccines (not getting a Rabies shot is a misdemeanor in most states in the USA), and flea/tick/heartworm products. The first visit at our hospital, we give the puppy talk, and tell you a lot of the ins and outs of puppy raising and training.

2 week old puppy still very much need its mom to nurse it and most importantly to breast feed it. If the mom is also with you, you need to put the puppy with its mom. However, if you have no choice than nurse the puppy yourself without its mom, then you need to be its surrogate mom. Try baby formula milk in small baby bottle and small rubber niple. Feed it regularly every 2-3 hours, make sure it's not choked. And as also done by its mom, you need to clean it's bottom too with wet cotton (its mom naturally will lick the bottom clean). Good luck with your puppy , hope it helps

It has basically thesame rights as you do. It needs endless amounts of love, food, shelter and exercise. For the best on those ask your local pet store.
