It shouldn't. I dyed my hair red a few weeks ago and then went swimming and it is fine.

The chlorine in the water breaks down the colour and either makes it a fade or change it a slightly different colour. I dye my hair blonde and I avoid swimming because the last time I went my hair turned into a tingy green clolour.

Are you a woman? Cos it might look like your on your era lol, consistent with danger placed some bypass away in conditioner, it is going to help no longer dry out your hair from the chlorine, and could bypass away it silky delicate, and much less dye in the pool cos the conditioner will capture it. ...or you ought to easily placed on a swimming cap lol desire this helped! :) xx

Read the instructions that came with the hair dye, failing that there should be a phone number you can ring.

Maybe, maybe not.
But know this, red colour fades quicker than any other colour and there is NOTHING worse than chlorine on hair.(maybe fire is worse)
