Get a box of Twinkies and cut them in half long ways. Place them in a pan, filling side up. Pour cherry pie filling over them. Chill and take. These need to be eaten within a couple of hours of preparation. Quick, easy and can be made just prior to the picnic. Rice Krispie treats will work, too. Recipe's on the marshmallow bag if you don't know it already.

yummy i have the perfect dessert for you. its a chocolate layer desert and so simple to make.
4 layer chocolate pudding

1st layer: i c flour 1/2 cup pecans(chopped fine) i stick melted oleo(margarine for the rest of us)
mix and pat into 9x13 baking dish. Bake @500 for 12 min.

Second layer
18 oz pkg cream cheese
1 c cool-whip
1 c powdered sugar
Mix together with mixer and spread over crust

Third layer
1 3oz pkg of instant vanilla pudding
1 3oz pkg of instant chocolate pudding
3 c of cold milk
Fourth layer
Spread rest of cool whip over 3rd layer
garnish with choc sprinkles or more chopped pecans or both and let set up in refrigerator for at least an hr.
this is so good and if u just take a blue icepack and set it under the dish it keeps it icy cold for as long as it lasts which its been my experience it sure doesn't last long! enjoy

Apple pie, almost everyone loves pie crust, apples and cinnamon and if they don't that's ok too. But at least they know some hard work went into it and that you care to bring something nice and traditional. Have fun.

Brownies. They're handy because already in individual portions. They taste great...everyone loves chocolate and personally I love the ones with nuts in them....make sure your friends haven't got any nut allergies first though.

Zebra cake. Chocolate wafers and cool whip, kids absolutely go nuts for it and it's really pretty when you cut it diagonally.
