Are you trying to lose weight by counting calorie intake? It differs from person to person. I was 225 Im now down to 145. Health problems helped me make choices on what I could or couldnt eat. I ate 3 small meals a day plus 2 snacks a day. I drank water instead of reaching for a chip or cookie bag. You can ask your Dr's advice or a dietiitian how many calories you need a day. I set mine at 2000 to start then went to 1500 calories a day. I planned each meal at how many calories.I did alot of walking. (borrowed grandkids&stroller everyday for a walk) I found alot of good diet & menu information through the American Heart Association. Good Luck! You can do it! I did it after a lung & heart operation. =)

You should probably be in the range of 1400 (Highest) and 1100 (lowest) calories per day if you're female.

Exercises that burn fat quickly are cardio exercises and walking is a perfect way to start.

If you spread out your calories through 5 or 6 small meals per day, you won't feel deprived or hungry. Your body also steps up its metabolism to digest something every 2 or so hours.

Another addition that burns extra calories (over 100 per day) is to drink 1 gallon of very cold water every day.

Your body uses energy to cool it to your core temperature and expells the heat in urination. It also helps expel toxins that your fat cells release as they shrink.

The calories used to maintain weight are naturally higher. When you've reached your ideal weight, then you can add about 200 to 500 calories per day to maintain, depending on your activity level.
