First change it to the correct date in your camera if you still want to show this on your pics. The time stamps which are allready in your pics can only be removed by hand within a photo editing program like photoshop.

Open the image, zoom in untill maximum, and then you can change the picture pixel by pixel. I hope for your sake that it's only one picture though... otherwise I would go for cropping.

instead of cropping, you could go download "photo impressions" and blur the incorrect time stamp part and type in a new one or just get rid of the whole time stamp.

I asked this question a while ago and I tried everything. There isn't a simple solution. Cropping is the only way! ARRRGH frustrates me too. Sorry!

You should be able to turn the time stamp off.
Read the manual that came with your camera.
