First of all, keep an open mind. Some of my best teachers had the worst reputations. I dreaded being in their classes until I got to know them.
Even if you don't end up liking the teacher, you've got to get through his/her class and the school year. The best thing you can do is learn the teacher's expectations, and meet (or exceed) them. If, for example, this teacher's pet peeve is students talking in class, don't sit near your friends where you'll be tempted to talk or pulled into their conversations. Be respectful in class, and complete all your assignments out of class. You'll be fine.

First, keep your eyes on the prize -- getting good grades and succeeding in your life.
Second, as in life -- you don't have to like everyone you meet or work with so this is your chance to learn how to work with someone you don't like.
Third, take this as an opportunity to find something good in the person (good or bad) and situation. Again a tool you will need to learn for the rest of your life.
Fourth, convert this person to your side. You will be amazed how much you can learn from this person. Good Luck

you cant always get what you want, just get over it and carry on with life.. you could cause a fuss but what exactly would you get out of it.. nothing.. just go to the lesson, keep your head down and enjoy the year, look for the positive aspects of their teaching or the lesson, or just the experience of being at school, ignore the negative, and just enjoy the year and being with your friends! you can only do it once, and you might as well do it with style

Listen ASHASH, life is full of situations where you have to have professional relationships with people you don't want to be linked with. It the way life works so get use to it. Its its only for 1 class a day for a semester. That's not very long.

Well, to be honest, it's good that you didn't get a teacher you want because you'll have to deal with the situation and maybe you'll change your mind about him/her. No one is really what they seem to be. Just follow their rules and do things according to what they expect of you and even more. Surprise them a little. Best of luck!

No matter where you are in life, there is always someone you don't like. Unless this teacher hates you and makes your life miserable (then tell you parents), you will have to learn to get on with the teacher.

Simply put, deal with it. We all get things in life we don't want. It's how we rise above the problem that makes us who we are. In this situation, you are the only one who will suffer and it really isn't necessary.

Well there is always the sexual harassment approach, but I don't recommend it. You can always try to change classes, or there is the grown up way of accepting it and doing your best and surprising yourself.
