I'm going to New York next May for a wedding in Central Park. Can anyone recommend a good (3 star minimum) but reasonably priced hotel, preferably in the Midtown area near Central Park?

Cheap isn't exactly what you'll find, but I recommend Holiday Inn located in Manhattan. Not a very far walk to Central Park.

we stayed at the helmsley park lane when we and another couple visited nyc 3 weeks ago.The hotel is across the street from central park, right where the horse-drawn carriages are. Rooms are clean and very spacious though the decor is somewhat dated. We booked through expedia and received excellent rate. Parkview rooms are bigger and more expensive, cityview rooms cost less.

We stayed on the Salisbury inn on 57th st in ny. It became incredible! precise in the course of the line from Carnegie hall and about 6 blocks from situations sq. and Rockefeller middle. they're very pleasant, even even with the undeniable fact that the rooms are a touch run down, its thoroughly properly truthfully worth the region. It value about $130 5 an nighttime. i like to recommend it!
