Your lucky that your 12 yr old son ask you question, you should give yourself a pat on the back that your son feels comfortable to talk to you and can ask. Think back when you were 12 was it easy for you to ask your parent.? Most kids will ask someone else personal question before they go to there parents. So consider yourself a very lucky parent.

You are lucky that your son starting asking questions at the age of 12 . My son is 8 and he doesnt stop asking. Thats part of growing up and discovering whats around them. Its better he find out from you then from someone else.

Try to answer his questions no matter how stupid they might sound.

Heh Heh Heh,,,,That is because he is a 12 yr old,,,,obviously. These boys or girls that are at this age are in a special stage of their life. They have a curiosity that cannot be topped. They are also reaching the teenage years and sometimes this is a searching time for them. Just try and answer his questions as best you can. You would be surprised at how easy it is when you get into it.

It could be one of two things, either he is trying to get away with something and that is a decoy, because pre-teens do this alot, or it is the fact that he just wants to know things, and as other have said I would be worry if he wasn't asking and talking to me, We all know kids can go to the good or bad it is just that fast, Don't ever wish he will stop other wise you will never know what he is thinking and where he is at in his life, and by that I mean by the questions he is asking. Good luck

Because he is learning and wants to know everything. He is also turning into his teens and this is where you want him to know things. My son is 9 and asks alot right now. Keep him informed with life around him. It is good that he is asking questions.

Because he's changing a mile a minute and you are the person who grounds him. Answer his questions, or he'll find someone who will and you will lose him. Its your responsibility to help your son become the man he will be.

If he didn't, I would worry. He just wants to know more about life around him and is interested in education. Answer his question with openness and honesty.
