You can't have a relationship with someone you don't care about. You can sleep with someone, you can hang out with someone, but you can't have a relationship.

Yes i have. After a while i began to feel sorry for them because i felt that i was deceiving them by not feeling the same way. I decided that this was no basis for a relationship. It is not right or fair, in my opinion to just go through the motions. Life is very short so i think we should make the most of it. Staying with someone just to avoid being alone will lead to apathy and eventually resentment.

Yes i did i was with him for 5 years.

The first 3 years were great we had our ups and downs like everyone does but then our problems got worse and we argued all the time after about 6 months i slowly realised i was falling out of love with but i guess i didn't want to be alone.

After a 5 year relationship i broke up with him and it was hard but it was harder being with someone you don't love and knowing there is no future.

I learnt its better to be alone then trying to have something you cant. I may be single but I'm happy and i learnt how to be alone and stand on my feet and i don't want to give that up no matter who i fall in and out of love with.

Yes, but believe me it's far better than to be alone and have some self respect than to put yourself into a situation where, in time, you will feel used and so will the other person. Stick it out until you find someone you do have feelings for.

I actually have...It wasn't that I didn't care about him..I just got tired of him after about 2wks. and didn't want to hurt him and like you said didn't want to be alone. He fell in love with me and I just really didn't feel like being loved, as mean as that sounds. I had just got out of a 2yr relationship and was on the rebound. We are friends now though.

No. I'd rather be alone. If I don't care about them, it's just a waste of time, right?
