Take the child to a doctor to be evaluated and to have a series of tests made. I recommend a pediatric neurologist. Also, a visit to a nutritionist is recommended. There are many foods that trigger their hyperactivity. Conduct Modification Therapy is also a must.
Remember, only a specialist can diagnose a child with ADHA.

good luck

Give me the child. I love those child very much. My daughter is also Hyperactive. Keeping those together may reduce is each others activity.
Nothing to worry about that. Consult a child specialist. If He finds nothing unusual in him then everything will be OK as he/she grows up.

Hyperactive children are quick developers and more intelligent. Do not control them.

Considering practically 50% of children are now "diagnosed" with ADHD, I wouldn't take him to a doctor and dope up your kid. Set limits and enforce them. If he's running around to much and for too long, he may be bored and need a task or a challenge. Or if not, maybe he needs a time out to calm down.

Please dont try to control anything in this world. Dont go against nature. You are blessed to have a hyper active child as i also have one child who is seven years old now. Doctors and friends had been behind me to visit neourologist etc, i ignored them today touchwood my son is the smartest lot amongst his peers. Have lots of patience give room for them to grow. They need lot of attention. Please enjoy with your child as they evolve into very matured and intelligent children as they grow up.
All the very best . HAPPY PARENTING

DISCIPLINE, even the Bible says that foolish is driven out by the rod but AWL parents are so weak these days they just can't see hitting their children ( BUT I didn't say hit, I am refererring to a spanking).
