I wish you would make sure to spell your words correctly and use good grammar. One of the smears that the anti-gun organizations use is to imply that those of us who support the 2nd amendment to the constitution are stupid. When you ask questions in the way you did here you lend credence to that charge.
There is nothing wrong with prohibiting convicted felons and children from buying or carrying firearms. There has been progress made in many states in the past few years. In most states now, if you are 21 y/o, have a clean record, and have gotten the proper training, you can get a permit to carry a concealed firearm.
But to answer your question, the Liberal, activist judges have subverted many provisions of the constitution over the last 50 years, and the 2nd amendment was among the casualties.
But, yes, you are right, legally, we shouldn't need a permit.

The constitution allows you the right to bear arms, so legally although many places try to prevent it, you can. The trick is that you cannot conceal the gun. It must be in plane sight at all times.
On the other hand, this right can be restricted. You cannot carry a gun onto any private property without permission of the owner. For example, a place of bussiness. Since in such a case, you would have to leave the gun in your vehicle, you would become in violation of the law because placing a gun in your trunk or glove compartment, or under your seat is considered concealing it. Things like this make it very hard to exercise your right to carry.

It's called government control. Depending on the State you may be able to carry without a permit. Check the local/state laws.

This is a good project in which to immerse yourself. Be a leader of the charge to make it legal for people to carry guns anywhere they wish and anytime they wish, and be free of being stopped and hassled. The usual civil disobedient steps to make it all happen is to get a gun (better a loaded one) and carry it openly out in public, through shopping malls, and during visits by political dignitaries. You may be arrested, but this is what you want. You want news coverage. This will attract others of like interests. When you get out, do it again but this time at a staged ralley and pass out more guns to your supporters. You and they will probably get arrested, but this is what you want. When you get out, repeat this process until you get the sympathetic ear of a congressperson, someone to go to bat for you and show to the American people that it's the right thing to do. Cause the laws to change and attitudes to adjust.
I for one....applaud your foresight and courage to go forward.

You only need a permit to carry a "concealed" weapon.
Beware of the gun-grabbing-liberals. They want the government (themselves) to own All the guns.

Almost everyone IS allowed -- except minors and felons. Even crazy people may have guns.
Hey, don't you have a Florida concealed weapon permit? I bet you do! Isn't Florida big enough for you? You want to carry a concealed weapon in NYC so yoiu can compete with the Yardies and drug barons and Mafiosi? You haven't got enough bling to compete with them, and you can't afford the kind of weapon you would need. You're better off staying in Florida. Or Texas.
I will commend Florida though for requiring a safety course before granting a carry permit. Can't have people shooting themselves in the foot by mistake when they meant to get that potential rapist in the heart. . .

Many places it OK, if the gun in view and you not waving it around and yelling crazy stuff. If, the gun is concealed and out of view, you need a permit.

You need a permit because their are enough lunatics walking around shooting people and also so that the police can keep track of who as guns or not, always a good thing to uphold the law don't you think.!!!

Two reasons, the first is firearms safety. The second is that if you intend to own a gun legally then it needs to be documented by the government.

If you are so stupid that you have to ask this question, then you have no business carrying a gun. That's what the permit is for, to weed out all the dumb*sses.
