For her 18th birthday so that you can visit with her, or you mean cancel the trip you were going to take her on because of her 18th birthday? I think if this is a trip that you and your daughter have been looking forward to you should absolutely come still. People live her everyday and don't worry about the terror crap just like people get in a car every day and drive somewhere without thinking how dangerous cars are and at any minute they could die in an accident. It is no way to live being paranoid all the time, and so you should just live normally, and if something is going to happen to you, then that's just the way it is... but I'd bet that nothing will happen.

Don't cancel your trip. Just be aware of the security precautions. This is something that you and your daughters will remember for the rest of your lives and it would be a shame to miss out on it. I traveled with my school over to England in 2003 despite all the terrorism stuff and have never regretted it.

At this element there is not any reason for alarm--the situations of swine flu contained in the U. S. are few and far between. what's going to ensue contained in the subsequent week is difficult to foretell. there'll very nearly genuinely be many further situations plus extra deaths, yet with slightly of success the outbreak will be contained. i'd not say, even with the undeniable fact that, that lengthy island will be extra risky than the different inhabitants middle, even with the outbreaks in that one college in Queens. briefly, it really is a own decision. when you're extremely anxious when you're pregnant, per chance it really is brilliant to stay living house.

No. New York is a very safe city. As a New Yorker, I do not worry about possible terrorist plots. I am sure that when you are here, you won't even worry about things like that. NY is a great city and worth a trip. Your daughters will have a wonderful time here.

Whats more important, your daughters birthdays (which only happen once) or missing out on all the fun and memories because of fear? Atleast you have a choice on if you want to go or not. I didn't have choice in a matter like this. I was over there fighting them and missed my sons birthday. Fortunately my sons understand and they forgive me.

I would not cancel. We cannot live in fear. If we do, we might as well not leave our homes. Anything can happen at any time -- accidents, illness, do we just give up then? Of course not ... Just be patient if you are flying. Enjoy your celebration with your daughter and have a great time.

NO!!! I work in New York every day. The security - both seen and unseen - is very, very good. Come to New York and enjoy the vacation. She is 18 only once!

No. The security is good and as long as you are vigilant, have a great time. I was there a month and half ago and it was great. Just go have fun.
