But for real, in Canada you cannot go wrong buying into a Tim Horton's franchise. Head office has already researched and staked out prime sites all over the place and while the buy-in cost is huge, there isn't anyone who hasn't made that back in a couple years tops. After that, you're essentially printing your own money.

Here in Toronto, alot of dollar store business are doing well. Also consider, motels, auto mechanic shops, variety stores, and gas stations. It costs a small fortune to purchase the name and trademark of fast food franchises.
