Well best relationships start off as friendships but you have to make sure she likes you too or else you will ruin your friendship. I think you should tell her how you feel and that you don't want to be just friends. Its a gamble but it might be worth it. As I don't know your age I cant really give you much advice but if you want you can contact via IM. Hope this helps.

WHen you say you want to ask her out, do you mean on a date or do you mean being exclusive in a relationship?

Since you haven't established anything but a friendship, you will need to test the waters and see if there is anything else there in her head. SOmetimes showing extra personal interest and calling her on the phone will give her an idea that you are looking for more than casual friendship. Take it slow. Don't make demands or insist she become your girlfriend right now.
Suggest you meet at a movie or another event through school. Talk with her, Eat lunch with her. Meet up out her locker. Greet her in the morning. Come find her before you leave school.
In short - make some effort to demonstrate that you are interested and then invite her to do something with you. And pay for her of course.

Hard isn't it....wait for the right time, don't dither..and ask straight out...just take a deep breath and say it.......lol, try to use positive words...make sure she knows you think its a date and also that you really like her, and have the dosh to finance the date and an idea where to go that you will both enjoy...good luck.

1) how old are you?

2) she knows you as a friend. you feel safe with her. tell her you like her as more than a friend and would like to date her. be prepared for whatever answer she says. If she says no to you guys being more than just friends, thank her and don't lose it. Appreciate her friendship as is and leave it alone. If she says yes, then you will be happy right along with her, yes?

Just go up to her and say. " I really like you and I would like to take you out (for say) to dinner and a movie." Open the doors for her to get in and out of the car and then see how things go. If they go good then after your date is done open her car door and walk her to her front door and say," I had a wonderful time and I would like to see you again." Ask her if you can give her a kiss good night if she says yes kiss her and then ask her out again again right there on the spot.
