(Malachi 4:2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings)
Sounds like a big metaphor to me, sorry! And science has very little to do with religion. As science advances our understanding of life, religion seems to become more of a fantasy story, in my opinion. Remember that the lepers were viewed as evil sinners by ancient religious people when in fact they were exposed to, Mycobacterium leprae, a bacterium. So please don't compare science to religion, one is spiritual and the other is backed by mostly physical evidence.

EVERY religion CLAIMS to be the RIGHT one...except Buddhism, which believes ANY path to God is a valid one...so is therefore the only religion that respects others.
Any claim to the rightiousness of any religion is purely faith-based...and no amount of faith (read: wishful thinking) can ALTER reality.
As for God, most physicists I've encountered feel there is WAY too much organization and convenience in this universe for there not to have been some sort of intelligence behind it.
Life, like gravity, seems to be a force unto itself. Our universe is GEARED for life, and so I believe it must exist in abundance in this vast universe...or why be geared for it.
But this force...life...is still yet largely an unknown: we do not quite understand what it is; what makes a chemical compound think, feel, hope, and remember.
Perhaps LIFE is God, and the sum total of all life is His body...each of us being a "finger of God", in that he may exist in this universe, and within/through us.
We all have the right to our religious beliefs, but we are foolish to think we have ANY right to claim they are the only right ones, or that they are even valid at all. None of us knows...we only have hope, and we call it faith...but it's still just hope.

As an athiest, the bible should have only some historical meaning, that is all.
The sun is energy in its purest form.
The sun provides the energies that support life on this planet. Energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change it's form. Therefore, regardless of what is written in the bible, we are of the sun.

The Son has healing in His consciousness. There is no sin, sickness, or death in God. If you are operating outside of the umbrella of faith you are in a strange environment, both spiritually and physically. That is the atmosphere that satan has put around this Planet, with his smog campaign. Yes there is healing in the Sun, and there is even more then healing in the SON. In the SON there is nothing to heal, because it doesn't exist. If you could stay under the anointing of the Holy Spirit at all times you would never be off track, you would never be sick, and you would never die. Those things do not exist there because God is life and health. It is our old natural man that has been operating for thousands of years without the Spirit of Christ that we must overcome constantly to walk in faith.

Yes christianity is rubbish... and YES the sun is the energy-source for ALL LIFE ON EARTH, and it should be worshipped accordingly.
However, this in and of itself does not make Xianity untrue.
What does make it true is the idea that there's an invisible superbeing, living in the sky, reading all our minds at the same time, who is interested in YOU and your BELIEFS.... and that this superbeing became SO ANGRY at humanity that the only way it could forgive you for lusting after your neighbor's wife's *** was to MURDER his own son and then ask you to BELIEVE it. (as written by a few drunken fishermen and goat herders)...
I've never heard a stupider fairytale in my entire life! hahaha.

LOL.
Yep, but it's not a guy scampering across the sky in the Sun chariot like past religions believed.
Of course, if you told them that, they'd tell you you were going to hades.

The stellar entity at the center of our solar system is not, by any conventional definition, alive, and therefore it cannot die. While it is engaged in a degradation process, so are radioactive elements like uranium and the rotting english muffin I forgot about in my bread drawer.

It's true that the sun is burning out. But not for our sake. All stars eventually burn out and go cold. This particular one, I'm told, has maybe another four to five billion years to go.
I have to admit, though, that the idea of such self-sacrifice -- literally on a cosmic scale -- makes for a rather poetic notion. :-)

The sun is not a being, it's a huge ball of gas, so it's not knowingly doing anything for anybody. We just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
