Good question.
Antichrist means against or instead of Christ. The term applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah.
Does the Bible refer to only one antichrist?
1 John 2:18: “Young children, it is the last hour, and, just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now there have come to be many antichrists; from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour.”
2 John 7: “Many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.” (Notice that the “many antichrists” of 1 John 2:18 are here referred to collectively as “the antichrist.”)
Is the coming of the antichrist reserved for some future time?
1 John 4:3: “Every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s inspired expression which you have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world.” (That was written near the end of the first century C.E.)
1 John 2:18: “Even now there have come to be many antichrists; from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour.” (By “last hour” John evidently meant the end of the apostolic period. The other apostles had died, and John himself was very old.)
Some of those identified as antichrist—
Persons who deny that Jesus is truly the Messiah
1 John 2:22: “Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ [or, Messiah, anointed one]? This is the antichrist.”
All who deny that Jesus is the unique Son of God
1 John 2:22: “This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son.”
Compare John 10:36; Luke 9:35.
Apostates
1 John 2:18, 19: “There have come to be many antichrists . . . They went out from us, but they were not of our sort.”
Those who oppose Christ’s true followers
John 15:20, 21: “If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also . . . But they will do all these things against you on account of my name.”
Individuals and nations that oppose Christ as King or that themselves falsely claim the Messianic role
Ps. 2:2: “The kings of earth take their stand and high officials themselves have massed together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one [Christ, or Messiah].”
See also Revelation 17:3, 12-14; 19:11-21.
Matt. 24:24: “False Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.”
Hope this helps.

Antichrist means working against Christ. Anyone who is preaching that all that is writen about Christ is false or all his teachings are untrue or that all the doctrines of christianity are false is an antichrist. Anyone who tries to destroy the faith of a person who believes in Christ is also antichrist. Yes some governments and political parties are antichrist.

The term "anti-Christ" means one who would replace Christ. When this epistle was being written there was a school of thought called gnosticism that claimed that Jesus was never actually a physical person but only a spirit being because they thought that all physical matter was evil and that only the spirit was pure.
Someone who denies Jesus is only an unbeliever but "The" anti-Christ is the one who will come and perform false signs and wonders and claim that he is God here on earth.
"Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12
People like Mohammed and other false prophets are foreshadowings of this ultimate anti-Christ because they seek to diminish the person of Christ Jesus and put themselves or some other gospel in his place.
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9

People who didn't believe in Christ were anti-Christ.
Somehow the notion of one AntiChrist bringing about the end of the world became popular with religious folks.
Could George Bush be the anti-christ? He started this war.
Could it be Bin-Laden? He provoked George into the war.
Jews and Muslims are Antichrist. Will they ally themselves against Christians?
I don't think what we believe has any effect on the end of times.
BTW
I don't read bible quotes when they are posted. I only read personal opinions.

The anti-Christ spirit is anyone who is against Christ. In the last days the spirit of anti-Christ will be made flesh. That is there will be a person who will embody the anti-Christ spirit. Some have said he will come out of Syria. I think this is very possible. But I don't know of a certainty nor does anyone else right now.

The antichrist is the one who tries to pass himself off as Christ. He does false signs and "miracles." All people who believe that he is actually the Christ will perish. I read in the Bible that when the real Christ comes, you will know. It is said in my Bible that it will be like lightning-lightning that is seen in the east is seen in the west. So I take that to mean that no matter where you are in the world, you will see Christ coming down from Heaven.

I believe that "THE" antichrist is the Devil himself. If you read Revelations, that is the impression that I get and many biblical scholars will agree. If you are really interested in end times prophecy and references to "THE" antichrist, I suggest that you may enjoy reading the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins: two Christian biblical scholars who have studied the intricacies of 'end times'. They suggest that the Antichrist will be a politician that comes offering world peace, but then gradually forces changes until he rules the world as we know it, then he unleashes terror in the final days.

These are the many who deceive people to turn them against Jesus.
1Jo 2:18 Children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard, "Antichrist is coming," even now many antichrists have come. We know from this that it is the last hour.
1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
1Jo 2:22 Who is the liar, if not the one who denies that Jesus is the Messiah? He is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.
1Jo 2:23 No one who denies the Son can have the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well.
1Jo 2:24 What you have heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father.
1Jo 2:25 And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.
1Jo 2:26 I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
1Jo 4:2 This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
1Jo 4:3 But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.
2Jo 1:7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
2Jo 1:8 Watch yourselves so that you don't lose what we have worked for, but you may receive a full reward.
2Jo 1:9 Anyone who does not remain in the teaching about Christ, but goes beyond it, does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.
2Jo 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home, and don't say, "Welcome," to him;
2Jo 1:11 for the one who says, "Welcome," to him shares in his evil works.
Note to believers: You should NOT welcome Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormon missionaries or others into your home. Don't argue with them; tell them the truth on your door step.

LOL -no.
The Anti-Christ is Satan him self in the flesh (so to speak) Satan wants to be worshiped as God. He wants followers, and in the last days many will follow him. He will has great powers, able to do all the miracles of Christ, he will start out as if he were the Christ to save you!
So great is his words and deeds, that even the elect of God, if allowed long enough, would be deceived!
So many will whore after him, many of the church will believe him to be the Christ, and he will go to Jerusalem, and in the temple sit and proclaim himself to be God.
This is what Satan wants more than anything else to be God, to be seen by man as God, to sit where only God should sit.
No no Man born of woman will be the Anti-Christ!

Most sin in the end is a form of lying. Satan or the Anti-Christ has knowledge or understanding of Christ, but is in denial. Once denial sets in and gets permenantly in one's core, it over. Darth Vador is a good example of this. A good man but through a series of events/trauma he turned. Turned in the most profound way.
