I believe in destiny. The meaning of life to me is finding happiness and peace within.

There is no meaning to life, like all the other things we think we know we don't, why do humans think that have a destiny, to do what?
What would your destiny be outside the realm of the life you live. Are you destin to be a god, a moon, space, a new person in heaven that can not remember the old person he was on earth.
destine to be a lawyer, doctor, actor, labor, bum or something else in the system.

Our destiny has been to be born as human without much choice as to being born. So in that sense there is no meaning in life. Now that we are born, we can indeed change our future destiny by doing deeds to will lead us to a better destiny, which is through moral deeds and spirituality.

Our purpose is to serve God.
Our destiny:
Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.
Rev 20:12 I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.
Rev 20:13 Then the sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead; all were judged according to their works.
Rev 20:14 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
Rev 20:15 And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea existed no longer.
Rev 21:2 I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look! God's dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.
Rev 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.
Rev 21:5 Then the One seated on the throne said, "Look! I am making everything new." He also said, "Write, because these words are faithful and true."
Rev 21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to the thirsty from the spring of living water as a gift.
Rev 21:7 The victor will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

Yes, we all have one of two destinies.
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." Revelation 21:1-8
The meaning of Life for a Christian is..."For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

To me, meaning of life = reason of being.
We must first know who we are, before we can know where we are going and what to do.
I find comfort in the answer to "What is the chief end of man? " in Westminster Shorter Catechism:
"To glorify God, and to enjoy him forever."
Perhaps things are not that complicated after all.

Life exists because God created it so he could experience his creation. It is the responsibility of all living things to experience creation.
Aren't the religious fanatics a tad verbose?
