7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear
approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we
are as reprobate.8 For we can do nothing against the truth,
but for the truth. 9 For we rejoice when we are weak and you
are strong. And this we also pray for, even your perfecting. 10
For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not
deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the
Lord gave me for building up, and not for tearing down.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.13
All the holy ones greet you. 14 The grace of the Lord Yeshua
the Messiah, the love of God, and the communion of the Ruach
HaKodesh, be with you all. Amein.

It's still relevant provided you don't quote these verses out of context. The point the author is making is defending his style of leadership: low profile, not market oriented, a leadership that is not into proving selfrighteousness but more oriented towards showing God's light in the harsh and concrete reality of the world.

Is this actually a statement or a legitimate question? I assume it is a statement couched in the language of a question. My only question is why you would pick that particular passage since it is not understandable to a modern audience without some explanation. And why would you use a version that uses Hebrew throughout?
Usually the goal of a speaker is to enable the listener to understand his statement.

Right thinking, doing, Etc. will never go out of vogue, because it is Truth, as opposed to an illusion, which is what people and governments that try to control others are indulging in. As one sews, so shall one reap.
