Given what the last answerer said about Durian (I had never heard of it before), I can believe it possible, however it would be rare.

The person drinking the Durian and the liquor would probably have a condition known as hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). The combination of durian (which sounds like a very high glycemic food) and alcohol (a high glycemic food) would trip off a strong insulin reaction, causing the blood sugar to be removed from the bloodstream at a much higher than normal rate. If the blood sugar level drops too low or too fast, fainting and possibly coma can occur. If the person faints at the wrong time, in the wrong spot, it could be fatal.

I have never heard or read that! Genetically Asians are less able to metabolise alcohol to acid than Europeans and therefore cannot drink as much before getting drunk. There are some foods which have an adverse reaction with alcohol (the Blusher mushroom, for example) but I don't think the durian is one of those.

Durian problems
In Indonesia, Durians are rumoured not to mix well with alcohol.

However there is no medical evidence on the subject to speak of - and experiments feeding rodents durian and alcohol have failed to reveal any sign of negative interactions.

However the durian is a rich, sugary food. It produces a powerful insulin response, and is quite satiating. Having too much durian is quite easy to do - and this can produces unpleasant sensations in the digestive tract. You can't eat a whole durian all at once. You practically have to carry it with you for a while.

Lastly, the food appears to be adored by all kinds of microorganisms - as well as by humans. Over-ripe durian can ferment in the stomach - and create unpleasant bloating sensations and gut fermentation. Eating durians with other sugary foods is likely to make this problem worse.
