I know I can eject the SD card and use a card reader, but I like to keep the SD card in my camera.

that's funny. my 20D takes compact flash cards, not SD cards.
But- if you want to use the camera's interface, then you need to use the software that came with it from canon, which frankly- is cumbersome.

use a card reader- you'll be glad you did.
they're way faster.
you can process your RAW images with RawShooter Essentials. It does a great job- and it's free.

Agreed, keep using your card reader. It's faster and more convenient than connecting your camera to the computer with the included usb cable.

no. dont stress the camera. get the card out and use the reader. dont be lazy =P
