The very large topside beef is roasting as i type this! should be ready in 2ish hours, yorkshire puds, the very best roast potatoes (mine can't be beat), parsnip (honey glazed), veg, stuffing, a bottle of fruity wine! Pud is a chocolate cheesecake!

When I was a kid, we had a Sunday dinner...mid day...and many times it was a roast. Sometimes roast beef, sometimes roast chicken, sometimes roast pork. Once in a while we had fried chicken, but usually it was a roast of some sort. Mom could put it in the oven and let it cook while we were at church. I love to have a roast on Sunday, too. I can't claim I do it as often as Mom did, but at least a couple times a month I'll have one.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, done in hot lard so they are really crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, steamed baby carrots and broccoli, and just the jus for gravy. Pud is a bread and butter pudding using brioche with strawberries and choc chips folded through and fresh cream. Not bad for a diabetic!.

Homemade prawn toast for stater, roast pork fillet, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, cabbage, carrots and broccoli with homemade apple sauce and gravy for main and a lemon meringue pie for dessert. Yum! Oh and a nice glass of wine to wash it down.
