I find that after sitting down for an extended period of time, I become very dizzy and blinded for a short period of time. Can anyone explain why and if there is anything I can do to fix it?

Absolutely, it is a change in your blood pressure. Check to see how much salt you are taking and as well as what your pressure is. Also, keep in mind that our blood thickens if we do not get enough water, over 70% of Americans are technically dehydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of water and get your pressure checked.

you mean you sit for a long time and then stand up and become dizzy and everything looks black for a minute. It happens to me too. I think it means that you stand up faster than the blood in your body can go to your head or something. Please dont trust me though...Im no doctor.

It's your Blood Pressure, it's too low.

Have it checked by a doctor immediately or you might die.

Sounds like your blood pressure may be fluctuating...either too low or too high. But, it could be any number of things...diabetes, tumor, anemia, etc. Please see a doctor!
