I had a day out at Brands Hatch learning to drive a single seater racing car. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Depends where you live, but perhaps you could take him on Eurostar to Paris for a meal (bit expensive though.) or over to Boulogne for lunch (not so expensive.) Otherwise he will be absolutely made up if you just give him a huge hug and tell him how much you love him! Honest!!

I Loved when my kids took me out to eat. But one year my children gave me a massage. A licensed masseuse came right to the house.Yes it is real and not kinky. It was so relaxing to get a real massage. They can be found in the yellow pages. I am 46 and loved it. I really think your father would love it..

Okay, the 50th is a real downer - far worse than 40th. Try to find something that bolsters his youthful outlook on life (if he has one) - don't get anything that hints at old age - its won't be appreciated. Oh, and spend more than normal!

I dont think its too good to buy him anything that reminds him of his age. Men go through changes too. Why not buy him some classy fashion clothing. Nice shirt. Pullover (depends on his taste) or a personalised gearstick for his car.

Depends how much you can afford to spend. If he has any hobbies, something related to that would be nice.....or his favourite music/movie?
I guess you think he's ancient huh? Well 50 is young. Don't get him a dad-related thing like socks or a cardigan !!!!
I'm sure he'll like whatever you get him.
