Not long ago Christians either preached against Judaism or at best said it was an invalid religion since Jews fail to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. What made things change? I really don't know and welcome all views.

This switch in the US where the right wing Christians either hated or barely tolerated Jews because they either "killed Jesus" or didn't recognize him as God happened rather recently in the last 10 years or so. I'm wondering why?

None of the answers 1 thru 5 answers the question I have. There seems to be a phenomena, about 10 years old where evangelical Christians have aligned with Jews on political and perhaps other issues. I'm wondering when and why this seems to have happened? Anyone?

I see that someone needs to read up on their history. In order to explain this I want you to know that history is a fickle thing.. And all to many people wish that they can get rid of many of history finer points.. So lets start here, The Christians were never against the Judaism, The Catholic Church, were the ones that are totally against the Jews. Also there is a Jewish sect that accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior. Now all Christians groups accept them as Christians, with the exception of the Catholic and the rest of the Jewish Religion. Now the Knights of the Rose Croix and the knights of Malta And the Knights Templar who are not the branch of Knights Templar's that are Catholic. (But that is another story).. Signed a treaty with the above names Sect of Jews, (then later extended to all Jews) to protect them from their mortal enemy the Catholic Church. Now you can look this up which I hope that you do. The Catholic Church is an off-shoot of Judaism Just like the Methodist,Baptist, Lutheran, etc, are all off-shoots of the Catholic Church. Also before they became the Catholic Church, They were called the World Church, and the Universal Church. But the Catholic Church, is the only church that considers Judaism to be a false religion. And the Catholic Church did its fair share to totally eliminate Judaism. Also the Catholic Church did its best to eliminate all the other Church's................... Read the rest by going to your local Library............................... One more thing the Freemason do not allow Catholic into their group And study world history before you start disliking their group. why because they saved many people from death.

After the Holocaust where six million Jews were annihilated in an attempt to exterminate them all, Christian England and America recognized the need to help them get their homeland back. This is why the United Nations voted and passed a resolution that would produce two states in what is now known as Israel and Palestine. This plan was rejected by the Muslims and wholeheartedly accepted by the Jews. Admittedly, America was not a great friend to the Jews until after their statehood was initiated at which point they were attacked by all of their neighbors. The Muslims left the area in a mass exodus expecting to go back home as soon as the Jews were 'driven into the sea'. The whole world was shocked when the Jews won that struggle so decisively that there was not another attack on them by a state for years.

The Muslims who vacated found themselves unable to settle in their refuge states so they became the people we now know as the Palestinians.

It was after this victory that America got behind Israel and started selling them arms to defend themselves from their unreasonable neighbors. This is when terrorism in the Middle East began in earnest, at least as we know it today. Between WWII and this attack on Israel, American Christians realized the difficulty the Jews had in surviving. In this alliance we realize how closely our religions teach us to behave morally in comparison to Israel's neighbors. The more we learn of them, and each other the more we realize our moral structures align. Ergo the term Judeo-Christian values.

Freemasonry has a big role in bringing the RIGHT WING Christians and Jewish folks together to a large extent to the best of my knowledge.

Besides the Catholic faith and its opposition was also fundamental to the Jews and Protestant Christians joining ranks against a common enemy: the Catholic Church; which used to hold a lot of power in all of Europe from where all settlers for America came from. Much abuse was committed in the 15th, 16th and 17th century against anyone who questioned the Pope or the Church in Europe. Inquisition and burning alive of heretics had become so common, that people are afraid to speak what they truly believed and progress was coming to a halt.

Then the underground movement of Freemasony brought about a new way of thinking and "enlightenment". Until this happened, it was a capital crime to question the Pope or his teachings and his representatives had enormous power to crush or eliminate someone who dared to speak against the dogma taught by the Church.

Freemasons who founded America too opposed the Catholic Church. In fact in one of their rites, the initiate has to symbolically crush with his feet the crown of Pope Innocent and the King of France, King Louis The Fair. These two, had persecuted and killed DeMolay, the grand master of Freemasony along with the Templars, confiscated their moneys and properties and had essentially eliminated them out of existence from Europe. The Templar remnants had taken refuge in high mountains of Scotland. From their they made inroads into England and took over the British crown. Later through the French Revolution they re-established the control on the Catholics and the Church.

Once the influence of the Church was brought under control and America was discovered a lot of "persecuted" religions found common cause in America. Among such persecuted ones were the Christians who did not adhere to the Catholic faith and those of the Jewish extraction.

I hope this makes sense and correct me if I am wrong.

The Jews are God's chosen people to reveal Himself and His Son to man; always have been always will be.

Gen 17:1 When Abram was 99 years old, the LORD appeared to him, saying, "I am God Almighty. Live in My presence and be devout.
Gen 17:2 I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you greatly."
Gen 17:3 Then Abram fell to the ground, and God spoke with him:
Gen 17:4 "As for Me, My covenant is with you, and you will become the father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 Your name will no longer be Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I will make you the father of many nations.
Gen 17:6 I will make you extremely fruitful and will make nations and kings come from you.
Gen 17:7 I will keep My covenant between Me and you, and your offspring after you throughout their generations, as an everlasting covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

He chose Abraham to father Isaac and Ismael (from which the Muslim religions spring). Isaac fathered Jacob and Jacob was renamed Israel by God.

Gen 32:28 "Your name will no longer be Jacob," He said. "It will be Israel because you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed."

Israel fathered twelve sons and these sons and their descendents are the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

No true believer would preach AGAINST Israel. We understand our heritage and understand, according to the Bible, that Gentiles (non-Jews) are grafted into the family of Israel when we become believers in Jesus.

Rom 11:13 Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. In view of the fact that I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,
Rom 11:14 if I can somehow make my own people jealous and save some of them.
Rom 11:15 For if their being rejected is world reconciliation, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
Rom 11:16 Now if the firstfruits offered up are holy, so is the whole batch. And if the root is holy, so are the branches.
Rom 11:17 Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, though a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them, and have come to share in the rich root of the cultivated olive tree,
Rom 11:18 do not brag that you are better than those branches. But if you do brag--you do not sustain the root, but the root sustains you.
Rom 11:19 Then you will say, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in."
Rom 11:20 True enough; they were broken off by unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.
Rom 11:21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either.
Rom 11:22 Therefore, consider God's kindness and severity: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness toward you--if you remain in His kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.
Rom 11:23 And even they, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, because God has the power to graft them in again.
Rom 11:24 For if you were cut off from your native wild olive, and against nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these--the natural branches--be grafted into their own olive tree?
Rom 11:25 So that you will not be conceited, brothers, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery: a partial hardening has come to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
Rom 11:26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.
Rom 11:27 And this will be My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of their forefathers,
Rom 11:29 since God's gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.
Rom 11:30 As you once disobeyed God, but now have received mercy through their disobedience,
Rom 11:31 so they too have now disobeyed, resulting in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.
Rom 11:32 For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.

Jesus is the alliance betwen the Jews and the Gentiles. Today, the Jews do not trust Jesus as their Savior, but the day will come, as it says above, when all Gentiles will understand who Jesus is and then the "partial hardening" of the Jews will be removed and Jesus will be revealed to all as the Redeemer of man.
